Freight still runs on people reading email

We are building the layer that reads it for them. Small team, real customers, and one person per system.

A note from the founder

I started FasterQuotes after watching dispatchers lose entire afternoons to a mailbox. Not to a hard problem. To copying pickup addresses into a spreadsheet.

We are early. There is no layer between you and the decisions, which is the good part and the demanding part. You will pick up things that are not strictly your job, and when you ship something it goes in front of a real carrier that week.

If you want a defined lane and a big org to grow inside, this is honestly not it yet. If you want to own a system end to end and see it used, come talk to me.

How we work

Slow and right

Read the current docs before writing against an API. Read real working code, not a blog post from 2023. A hotfix is two problems, the bug and the thing you patched over it.

Verify it or it did not happen

Every change ships with how it was checked. A smoke test that only asserts a 200 is an uptime probe. Walk the auth flow, read the response body, prove the thing works.

Use AI hard, ship nothing that looks like it

We pay for the tooling and expect you to lean on it all day. What goes out still has to look deliberate. No purple gradients, no generated-sounding prose.

Write like a person

No corporate filler. "Thanks, fixed in abc123" beats three paragraphs. Nobody here writes "Great catch!" and nobody here needs a status meeting to say a thing is done.

One thing, fully

Split attention across three commitments produces three half-things. Own one thing completely.

Numbers you can check

We say 88.5% on pickup because that is what 104 real emails scored, and we say which 104. If a number cannot be traced back to something, it does not go on a slide.

The tooling is on us

Whatever you need to move fast, we pay for.

How we hire

Four steps. We pay for the one that takes real time.

01

Intro call

Thirty minutes. What you have built, what you want next. No whiteboard.

02

Paid work sample

A scoped project on a real problem. We pay you for it and you keep it either way.

03

Walk it through

We go through your solution together and talk about the tradeoffs you chose.

04

Offer

Role, compensation and equity named in writing before you have to decide.

Nothing fits?

Send something you built that runs, with your name on it. More useful to us than a resume, and it gets read.
